Sport

As from 1973 on, this model on the new VW type-3 basis would have been built in three implementations: regular, luxurious and sport.
Henri Rambaud ensured the design. This report comes from Ritter Paris. An affiliate of Ritter Belgium.

The constructor was Ritter Works, conducted by Claude Thiry. As a Volkswagen-Audi concessionaire, he has always been active with the tuning of these vehicles. After a short buggy cooperation with Edmond Péry from Apal he went his own way.

Ritter-buggies were built from 1969 till 1975. Ritter also shortened the VW-chassis for Apal and VanClee, because Ritter Works used to be the only company in Belgium which could do this with the authorization of Volkswagen. And they also took the responsibility for the homologation approval of the home-built Ritter-buggies.

Besides building buggies, Ritter also embellished VW-Beetles. For external beauty (rims, stickers, dashboard) and inner strengthening (motor tuning) Beetle-fans always found their way to Ritter. But also other Volkswagens and Audi's were welcome there for an aesthetic - or vitamin cure.
