Based on the American buggy idea, Karmann made 1200 copies of the GF Buggy.
They were sold for 2950DM. GF stand for "Gute Fahrt" which means "good
ride". |

The Gipsy looks a lot like the Volkswagen Thing. This car however was built
on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis. The roof was removable.

This company
already successfully contributes to the design and the production of vehicles of
all kinds for over 100 years.
The story starts in 1901, when Mr. Wilhelm Karmann
takes over Christian Klages from
Osnabrück's car factory.
Worldwide reputation was acquired with the Karmann Ghia, a smooth
coupé which was produced from 1955 up to 1974.
